Block Bar Interior Transformation

Block Bar is one of Brighton’s most recognisable venues — closely linked to DJs, cocktails and a really cool atmosphere. We were invited to completely reinvent the space, transforming the interior with large-scale artworks across the venue.

Located on St. James’s Street, Block Bar has long been part of Brighton’s nightlife scene.

The goal was to completely reinvent the place and give it a strong new look that wows people.

We created more than a dozen individual pieces, ranging from small interventions to large-scale murals.

The work celebrates music and pop culture, bringing bold energy into every part of the venue.

On the main floor, a mural tribute to Andrew Weatherall — created shortly after his passing — quickly became one of the most loved pieces in the space.

The garden extended the experience outdoors, carrying the same visual language into an open-air setting.

The result was a complete transformation of the venue.

It felt like someone put THE POSTMAN through the washer and splattered it across every wall — an explosion of colour, and people loved it.

At the time, this was our largest project in Brighton and one of the first where we moved beyond individual artworks into a full interior transformation.

It marked a shift in our practice — from creating pieces within spaces to shaping the identity of the space itself.
