In the wake of the passing of the world icon Queen Elizabeth and the subsequent crowning of King Charles in 2023, we found inspiration to create this artwork. Our piece aims to capture the essence of change, sparking discussions around the monarchy and reflecting the opposing stances that exist toward the British royal family.
Long live the King! What a year for the monarchy. The Postman first created this artwork for a mural celebrating the coronation back in May 2023.
This is a venture into a completely unique new medium using brushed metal. It was created using the finest UV inks for lasting colour intensity. The artwork sits in a projector frame with routed, hand painted stamp edges giving it a number of interesting layers and details.
Projector Frame
We have designed a high end custom hardwood frame which is hand sprayed around the edges and signed on the bottom right corner. The ‘Projector frame’ has angled edges which allows them to project a colourful glow onto a wall giving the artwork a sense of illumination and depth. The frame's front edges have cut out stamp style details.
Hanging Mechanism
The frame is supplied with a heavy duty French Cleat bracket which enables the artwork to sit perfectly flush to the wall.
